Chris & Shawn's BIG "GAY" public Maryland Wedding!

I am sad to announce that due to the rain expected on Friday the 12th, we have had to cancel our public wedding in the park thanks to the threat of mud, and wet grounds. We appologize that we will not be able to have you all there with us, but we do not want to make everyone stand in a spot that could cause them to fall, as well as mess up their shoes and clothes. We will be sharing the pictures, and video of the wedding that we will be holding now at our private reception site. Thank you all for following us, and we do appreciate your voting for equality in marriage, which is why we are able to have our ceremony finally. Love to you all, Chris and Shawn

Hello all... We hope you are all doing well, and are as prepared as one can be for the holiday, as its a week from today! I wanted to share with you all that we were asked to be interviewed by the British Broadcast Channel, and agreed. We filmed our interview here at home this past Friday, and we are super excited to have Maryland brought into the spotlight again, this time internationally. We are so greatful for ALL of you who made marriage possible for same sex couples here, and are really looking forward to showing you are gratitude come wedding day! I will keep you all up to date as we learn of it airing time. Thanks for hanging with us!

Its been interesting, but it has finally happened.... our site is up and running. I am working on it as much as I can, and trying to get the other pages up ASAP. Please pardon the mess as I continue to build. In the next week I plan to have pages for our Wedding in 2010, and for our upcoming wedding in 2013. I also will put up a page regarding our activism in Md. over the last few years leading up to the passing of the bill, and the final legalization setting marriage for same-sex couples in motion come January of 2013. So as you can see, lots to do, lots of planning, lots of phone calls to be made, and we are also super excited about an in home interview we just had Saturday morning, and expect to have the completed product bu the end of this coming week, at which time I will add to our site so everyone can have a more personal way to hear us tell our story. Well we are off to a great start so far. The law just passed this past Tuesday, and here we are already giving interviews, setting up our own website, and getting our story shared with as many people as possible. Its going to be an awesome ride, and I am so excited to see what is around the corner. Thank you for being with us through our wedding stages,a nd We really hope to get to meet many of you in the near future.
